LinkedIn Search to Lead Connection

Overview

Extract LinkedIn users from a search or group, auto connect with them, and keep track of who accepts your request

Automate your LinkedIn connections and grow your network with new professionals seamlessly every day.

This LinkedIn automation will help you to:

  • Extract LinkedIn profiles from LinkedIn/Sales Navigator searches or groups

  • Send connection requests with personalized messages

  • Monitor the acceptance rate of your connection requests

All of this takes place in the cloud. So what does that mean for you? It means you don't need to have your browser open or your computer on for it to work. Get your results on autopilot.

Default parameters of the Flow:
→ A total of 20 invitations can be sent per day
→ 5 invitations are sent per hour within working hours (9 am to 6 pm in your time zone) until the limit of 20 is reached.

Take note: The maximum input limit for flows to behave optimally is 5000 profiles. When using a spreadsheet as input, this counts as two search URLs for a Navigator account or five search URLs for a regular LinkedIn account.

How to automate LinkedIn connection requests

This Flow will:

→ Export a list of leads from a LinkedIn search, Sales Navigator search, or LinkedIn group
→ Send them a connection request
→ Monitor who accepts your request

And it all happens automatically in just a few easy steps.

Here's a tutorial to help you set up the LinkedIn Search to Lead Connection Flow:

Why should you grow your LinkedIn network?

People with large LinkedIn networks have a strong advantage over other users:

  • Emails. Being connected to someone on LinkedIn grants you access to detailed information on this person like email addresses, phone numbers, social media, etc.

  • Outreach. Being connected on LinkedIn also allows you to reach out via DM.

  • Visibility. LinkedIn users with a large network (5k+ connections) have their content shown more to other users.

Automate the process of growing your LinkedIn network with this Flow. Get set up in 2 minutes and join 100k+ professionals using PhantomBuster to automate their businesses’ growth.

How to grow your LinkedIn network automatically

1. Choose the source of LinkedIn profiles to extract

The first step is to find the right profiles to grow your network with by making your targeting specific and choosing where to extract the leads in your niche from:

A) A LinkedIn search

Curate a search on LinkedIn, including any relevant filters, to find up to 1000 of your target profiles (the limit of what LinkedIn will display).

B) A Sales Navigator search

Curate a search on Sales Navigator, including any of the many filter options available to you, to find up to 2500 of your target profiles (the limit of what Sales Navigator will display). You can also use a Sales Navigator list!

C) A LinkedIn group

Choose a LinkedIn group you're a part of that's active and whose member list fits your target audience, then export the most recent 2500 of them (the limit of what LinkedIn will display).

2. Send a personalized message within your connection request

To prepare the ground for the outreach you may want to follow up with, you can include messages within the connection requests you send. You can keep it personal by using a #firstName# placeholder tag to customize your message for every user.

For example:

Hello #firstName#,
I noticed that you're working in sales and thought it would be good to get connected.

It's also good to know that you can send out invitations without including a message - sometimes this even tends to increase the acceptance rate.

A note about LinkedIn limitations

LinkedIn implements different limitations for different users and may be running AB tests on certain features. We have noticed that some users may be limited to only 200 characters in their invitation messages, instead of the previous 300 characters. We recommend trying out your character limitations in a manual connection request before setting up the Phantom.

LinkedIn is also limiting the number of connection requests that can be sent with a message, where some users are limited to only 5 connection requests with a message per month. The limitations depend on your LinkedIn account, users with LinkedIn Premium or Sales Navigator accounts have higher limits than free LinkedIn users.

3. Monitor your campaign's progress

Take a glance at your Flow's dashboard to see how your LinkedIn network-building campaign is going. Compare which groups are keener to connect with you, adjust, and improve your sources of growth.

As well as performance, you'll be able to gather information on your new connections with all the profile data the Flow has scraped along the way, including information such as job titles and LinkedIn profile URLs.
