LinkedIn Automated Sourcing: How to Extract LinkedIn Data For Recruiting

Here's how to automate your recruitment processes with our LinkedIn automated sourcing processes.

If you're a recruiter or talent acquisition professional looking to streamline the hiring process, you're in the right place.

In this blog, you'll learn how quick and simple it can be to source top talent without intensive handiwork.

1. Log in to your Sales Navigator account.

2. Open up the Sales Navigator Search Export Phantom.

3. Select "Use this Phantom" and follow the setup by clicking "Connect to LinkedIn."

4. In the "Searches to scrape" section, you can input a single Sales Navigator search. You can also input a spreadsheet made up of multiple URLs.

5. For the "Behavior" setup, it's helpful to know about LinkedIn's rate limits.

The advantage of having a Sales Navigator account is that you can scrape more users per search. However, we recommend that you spread it out over several launches throughout the day.

At the bottom of this page, you can access "Advanced settings" and name your results file.

6. In the "Settings" section, you can choose whether to launch the Phantom "Manually" or "Repeatedly." Click on the 3 dots per the screenshot below for advanced options on repeated launches.

The result?

After launching your Phantom, you will find your results file in CSV and JSON format under "Files."

Note

Copy and paste your results file into your Flow spreadsheet (step 1) and use it as the input for step 2.

Use case #2: Search for the professional emails of the leads

Let's enrich your talent leads even further with the Professional Email Finder Phantom, which will extract all the emails from the results of your first Phantom.

1. Open up the Professional Email Finder Phantom.

2. Paste the link of your CSV results file. Alternatively, you can select "My Phantoms" and select the results file from your first Phantom directly.

3. In the "Behavior" section, choose how many rows of your results file you want to process simultaneously. If the field is blank, the Phantom will attempt to process all of them.

You can also name your results file in this section.

4. How to use our email discovery service.

This section enables the Phantom to scrape professional and verified email addresses.

To do this, the Phantom uses the full name and company name and checks its authenticity before providing you with accurate email information.

Although this service is not a must, it is handy when connecting with a large group of professionals. You can choose which service to use from the drop-down list.

5. Last but not least, you can configure your Phantom in the "Settings" section to run "Manually" or "Repeatedly." Then it's ready to launch!

You'll have successfully extracted the verified and accurate professional emails of your tailored Sales Navigator search, allowing you to connect and enrich your talent pool.

Note

Don't forget to copy and paste the link of your results file into your Flow spreadsheet step 2.

Use case #3: Extract company employees on LinkedIn

6. In the final step, you can configure your "Settings" to have the Phantom run "Manually" or "Repeatedly," depending on your preferences.

The result?

You'll have your desired list of company employees, all kept nicely in one place.
