How to use the Sales Navigator Alert Extractor
PhantomBuster’s Sales Navigator Alert Extractor Automation helps you export lead and account alerts directly from LinkedIn Sales Navigator. This tutorial shows you how to set up, configure, and launch the Phantom to collect alerts efficiently.
Required inputs: A connected Sales Navigator session (LinkedIn session cookie) and browser user agent.
Free plan limitations: CSV exports include only the first 10 rows, and direct download links or JSON exports are unavailable.
Rate limits: While there are no strict alert rate limits, start slowly and keep launches moderate to follow best practices.
Session validity: Keep Chrome or Firefox updated; outdated browsers cause session cookies to expire faster and require frequent reconnection.
Enable Sales Navigator alerts: In your Sales Navigator settings, turn on lead and account alerts; otherwise, the Phantom will have no data to export.
Connect your Sales Navigator account: Install the PhantomBuster browser extension to connect your session in one click, or manually retrieve your session cookie if not using Chrome or Firefox.
Select alert types to export: Choose categories for Leads (e.g., career changes, news) or Accounts (e.g., growth, decision makers, risk) to define what data is collected.
Configure filters and settings: Set a 'retrieve alerts from after' date to export specific history, or enable the 'second team' option if you belong to multiple Sales Navigator teams.
Date formatting: The date filter must use MM-DD-YYYY format. On repeat runs, the Phantom automatically captures only new alerts created after the previous run.
File management: Renaming the results file between launches breaks continuity and restarts processing from scratch.
Execution speed: Processing takes approximately 10 seconds per 10 alerts.
Choose launch frequency: Decide how the Phantom runs: manually, once at a specific time, recurring (like daily), after another Phantom, or via advanced scheduling.
Optional: Adjust advanced Phantom settings: Fine-tune execution limits, retries, notifications, proxies, and webhooks only if necessary; defaults work for most users.
Launch and export results: Click Launch, then check the Results tab to view and download collected alerts as CSV or JSON.
