How to use the LinkedIn Search to Profile Data
PhantomBuster’s LinkedIn Search to Profile Data Automation extracts LinkedIn profile details from search URLs or spreadsheets. This tutorial shows you how to set up, run, and export data using this Phantom efficiently.
LinkedIn search result cap: Only the first 1,000 results per search are shown (2,500 with Sales Navigator). Refine queries and use multiple search URLs to go beyond these limits.
Daily safety limits: Process up to 80 profiles per day (LinkedIn) or 150 per day (Sales Navigator). If email discovery is enabled, reduce these limits by half to minimize rate limit risks.
Email credits: 1 PhantomBuster credit equals 1 lookup attempt per profile. Credits reset monthly.
Input requirements: Google Sheets must be shared with "Anyone with the link". CSV uploads are available on paid plans only.
Free plan limitations: CSV exports include only the first 10 rows, and JSON exports are not available.
Connect your LinkedIn account: Install the PhantomBuster browser extension and connect your LinkedIn session in one click. If not using Chrome or Firefox, add your LinkedIn session cookie manually.
Keep Chrome or Firefox updated, or your session cookie may expire quickly and require frequent reconnection.
Provide your LinkedIn/Sales Navigator search URLs: Paste a search URL, provide a Google Sheet (shared with "Anyone with the link"), or upload a public CSV (paid plans only).
By default, the Phantom reads column A; to use another column, enter that column’s exact header name in "Name of column containing search URLs".
Enable professional email discovery (optional): Choose PhantomBuster credits or connect a third‑party service (Dropcontact, Hunter, Snov) with your API key to find professional emails.
Not every profile will return a verified email. Using third-party services requires valid API keys.
Select launch frequency: Choose to launch the Phantom manually, at a scheduled time, on a recurring schedule, after another Phantom, or with advanced timing options.
Adjust advanced settings (optional): Fine-tune limits, retries, notifications, proxies, webhooks, and file options if needed. Defaults work for most use cases.
Launch the Phantom: Toggle the ON/OFF switch to start the Automation.
Review and export results: After completion, view results in the Results tab. Export as CSV or JSON, or view as a dynamic list on the LinkedIn Leads page.
