How to use the LinkedIn Group Members Export
PhantomBuster’s LinkedIn Group Members Export Automation lets you extract member lists from LinkedIn groups quickly. This tutorial guides you through setup, input, and exporting results efficiently.
Access requirements: You must be able to view the group’s member list. Private groups require membership; public groups do not.
Platform limitations: LinkedIn only displays the most recent 2,500 members per group. Older members are inaccessible unless segmented via Sales Navigator.
Safety limits: Extract up to 1 group or 2,500 members per day. Spread activity across office hours and ramp up volume gradually.
Input requirements: Use valid Group URLs only. Google Sheets must be public; CSV upload is available on paid plans only.
Free plan limits: Results are limited to the first 10 rows in CSV, with no JSON or download link availability.
Confirm access and prepare inputs: Ensure you have access to the target groups. Prepare a list of URLs in a Google Sheet or CSV file if processing multiple groups.
Connect your LinkedIn account: Install the PhantomBuster browser extension to connect your session automatically, or manually retrieve your session cookie.
Keep your browser updated; outdated versions can cause session cookies to expire quickly.
Provide group URLs: Paste a single URL, link a Google Sheet, or upload a CSV file. The Phantom reads column A by default unless specified otherwise.
Configure extraction settings: Set the number of groups to process per launch and members per group (leave blank for the 2,500 max). You can also remove duplicates or filter by join date.
The Phantom does not resume extraction where it left off for the same group across runs; plan your volume accordingly.
Select launch frequency: Choose to run manually, on a schedule, after another Phantom, or using advanced timing options.
Optional: Adjust advanced settings: Modify execution limits, proxy settings, notifications, or file management options if necessary.
Launch and retrieve results: Click Launch to start. Once finished, download the data as a CSV or JSON file or view the extracted profiles in the Results tab.
