LinkedIn Search Export

Tutorial

  1. Setup summary

Here's a tutorial to help you set up the LinkedIn Search Export:

  2. Connect to LinkedIn using PhantomBuster's browser extension

This automation acts on your behalf on LinkedIn. The safest and most efficient way for the Phantom to connect to your account is by using your session cookie, which you can retrieve using PhantomBuster's browser extension. It's a simple 2-click installation:

If you're operating from another browser, you can find your cookie manually.

    cb connect to linkedIn step

  3. Give the URLs of the LinkedIn searches you're interested in

    You have two options:

    1. Process a single search
Type your search term directly into the Phantom's setup, or make your search on LinkedIn, then copy the search URL and paste it into the setup.

    2. Process multiple searches
Create a spreadsheet with Google Sheets. Copy the LinkedIn search URLs and paste them into your spreadsheet - one URL per row, all in column A.

Make this spreadsheet public so PhantomBuster can access it.

Copy the spreadsheet URL and paste it into your Phantom's setup.

Take note: You can append your search URL with &page=x (where x represents a page number) to let the Phantom know which search result page it should start scraping from.

  4. Specify the number of results you want

You have multiple options to specify how many results you would like here:

    1. Per search
The number of results you'd like to extract from each specific LinkedIn search.

    2. Per launch
The number of results you'd like to be extracted each time the Phantom launches.
(If the Phantom does not scrape all of the results of one search during a launch, it will pick up from where it left off in the next launch.)

    3. Number of spreadsheet rows per launch
The number of different searches you'd like to scrape during each launch.
(This only applies if you are using a spreadsheet or CSV file as input.)

Take note: LinkedIn only displays the first 1000 results of a search, so the Phantom won't be able to access any more than this. To get more, alter your search query in several ways and extract the results from each variation.

  5. Keep checking back for new results

Under "Advanced settings" in the Behavior step of your Phantom's setup, you'll find a "Watcher mode" option.

Checking this box means that the Phantom will reprocess your search URL each time it launches and extract any new results that have appeared since its last launch, adding these to your already-extracted results.

Take note: This setting will only work when using a single search URL as input.

  6. Set the Phantom on repeat

Automation always produces better results in the long run. Set the Phantom to launch repeatedly and get results while you're away!

This Phantom runs from the cloud, which means you don't even need to have your browser open or computer on for these launches to happen.
