How to use the LinkedIn Group Member Message Sender
PhantomBuster’s LinkedIn Group Member Message Sender Automation lets you send personalized messages to LinkedIn group members at scale. This guide covers the setup, input requirements, and messaging process.
Input requirements: Accepts only one LinkedIn group URL per run.
Messaging eligibility: You can only message 1st-degree connections or members with Open profiles; others will be skipped.
Data limitations: LinkedIn only displays the most recent 2,500 members of a group; older members cannot be accessed.
Safety limits: Up to 80 messages/week for standard accounts and 150/week for Sales Navigator accounts.
Resource usage: Consumes 1 slot and takes approximately 45 seconds per message.
Free plan limitations: CSV exports are limited to the first 10 rows, and JSON or dynamic viewing is unavailable.
Connect your LinkedIn account: Install the PhantomBuster browser extension (Chrome or Firefox) to automatically connect your session, or manually enter your session cookie if using a different browser.
Provide the group URL and write your message: Paste the LinkedIn Group URL you want to target and enter your message content.
Messages are limited to 8,000 characters. Hyperlinks and emojis are not supported (links appear as plain text), and attachments must not exceed 20 MB total.
Configure message sending settings: Define how many members to message from the group and set the number of messages to send per launch to pace your outreach.
Select launch frequency: Set the Automation to run manually, on a one-time schedule, repeatedly, or after another Phantom finishes.
Optional: Adjust advanced settings: Customize execution limits, retries, proxies, or file management only if specific needs arise; default settings are suitable for most users.
Launch and review results: Click Launch to begin the process, then review contacted members in the Results tab or download the data as a CSV file.
