LinkedIn Inbox Scraper

PhantomBuster’s LinkedIn Inbox Scraper Automation extracts message threads from your LinkedIn inbox for easy review and export. This tutorial covers setting up, configuring, and launching the Automation efficiently.

• Input requirements: This Phantom only uses your connected LinkedIn session; it does not accept CSV files, URL lists, or uploaded inputs.

• Scope: Scrapes the standard LinkedIn inbox (including Premium InMail). For Sales Navigator messages, use the Sales Navigator Inbox Scraper.

• Safety limits: Extract up to 100 threads per launch and run up to 8 times per day. Start small and scale gradually.

• Free plan limits: CSV exports include only the first 10 rows; JSON and dynamic CSV links are unavailable.

• Resources: Uses 1 slot. Estimated run time is approximately 29 seconds per 10 threads.

• Browser requirement: Keep Chrome or Firefox updated to prevent your session cookie from expiring quickly.

1. Connect your LinkedIn account: Install the PhantomBuster browser extension for Chrome or Firefox and link your LinkedIn session in one click. If you are not using these browsers, manually retrieve your session cookie following the cookie guide.

2. Select inbox section and configure extraction: Choose which inbox section to scrape (Inbox, Archived, My connections, Unread, InMail, Spam), set an optional 'Get threads before' date, and define the number of threads to extract (default is 20).

   Configuration details: When scraping the 'Unread' section, threads are re-marked as unread after extraction to preserve your inbox state. Use MM-DD-YYYY for date filters; 'from date' applies specifically to InMail.

3. Set launch frequency (scheduling): Choose to launch the Automation manually, on a schedule (once, recurring, or advanced), after another Phantom, or at specific times.

4. Optional: Adjust advanced settings: Leave defaults unless needed; you can fine-tune execution limits, retries, notifications, proxies, webhooks, and file management if required.

5. Launch and collect results: Click Launch and monitor progress in the Results tab, then download your extracted data as CSV or JSON subject to your plan limits.

   Output limitation: Results are not pushed to the LinkedIn Leads page. To process leads there, use a compatible Phantom like the LinkedIn Profile Scraper or Sales Navigator Lead Sender.
