Reddit Post Scraper

Tutorial

  1. How to use the Reddit Post Scraper Automation

PhantomBuster’s Reddit Post Scraper Automation enriches specific Reddit post URLs with post-level details not shown in search results, such as media URLs, reward counts, and full tags. This tutorial shows how to provide post URLs, connect your Reddit session, and run extractions at the right pace.

    • Required input: A single Reddit Post URL or a list via Google Sheets or CSV file.

    • Input constraints: You must provide direct Post URLs; providing Search URLs will cause the extraction to fail.

    • Rate limits: The Automation processes approximately 100 posts per launch.

    • Data scope: This tool extracts comment counts but not comment text. Use the Reddit Post Comments Export Phantom for full threads.

    • Free plan caps: Trial users are limited to 10 exported rows and cannot upload CSV files.

    1. Add Reddit post URLs: Enter a single Reddit Post URL or import a list via Google Sheet/CSV to define exactly what the Automation should scrape.

    2. Connect your Reddit account: Provide your Reddit Session Cookie and verify it using the PhantomBuster browser extension or connect manually.

    3. Configure how many posts to scrape: Set the “Number of posts to scrape per launch,” or leave it empty to process until the limit of approximately 100 posts is reached.

    4. Set your launch frequency: Choose how often you want the Automation to run, depending on how frequently you need updated post data.

    5. Launch and export results: Run the Automation to extract fields like postId, title, textContent, subreddit, mediaContentUrl, score, nbOfRewards, nbOfComments, and tags.

Execution time is approximately 58 seconds per 100 posts. Since engagement metrics change over time, consider rerunning extractions if you need fresh numbers.

Once you’ve enriched your target posts, you can use the output to support research and analysis workflows. For a detailed walkthrough and troubleshooting tips, see the tutorial on the help center.
