How to use the LinkedIn Activity Extractor
PhantomBuster’s LinkedIn Activity Extractor Automation lets you collect posts, articles, comments, and other public activity from LinkedIn profiles.
Safety limits: Standard accounts can process up to 80 profiles per day, Premium/Sales Navigator up to 150. Halve these limits if extracting 100+ activities per profile.
Input requirements: Only LinkedIn profile URLs are supported; company pages and saved posts cannot be extracted.
Spreadsheet access: Google Sheets must be shared with "Anyone with the link". CSV file uploads are only available on paid plans.
Free plan limits: CSV exports contain only the first 10 rows; JSON exports and CSV uploads are not supported.
Resources: This Automation uses 1 slot.
Choose your LinkedIn profile inputs:
Add profiles via My Lists, a single URL, a Google Sheet, a CSV file, or results from another Phantom.
Connect your LinkedIn account: Install the PhantomBuster browser extension to connect your session automatically, or manually copy your session cookie.
Keep your browser updated. An outdated browser can cause your session cookie to expire quickly, requiring frequent reconnection.
Configure activity extraction behavior: Choose activity types (posts, comments, articles), set items per type, and enable Watcher mode to monitor for new content.
Process up to 5 profiles per launch if extracting 100+ activities per profile, or up to 10 otherwise. Note that the date filter can only retrieve activities LinkedIn actually displays (usually up to ~1 year). Renaming the results file will cause the Phantom to restart processing from the beginning.
Select launch frequency:
Choose to launch manually, schedule recurring runs, or set the Phantom to run after another automation.
Optional: Tune advanced run settings:
Adjust execution limits, proxies, or file management settings only if necessary.
Launch and retrieve results: Click Launch, then download your data from the Results tab as a CSV or JSON file.
Estimated extraction speed is approximately 1 minute 30 seconds per 30 posts, though performance may vary.
